Dr. Emil Tetzner

Periodontist

I spent most of my early life in Ocean City, NJ, and developed an interest in dentistry while attending Fairleigh Dickinson University. After graduating Suma Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1978, I attended dental school at the University of Pennsylvania. There, I graduated with honors and Magna Cum Laude in 1982, with my Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD).

I was then selected for advanced training in a general practice residency program in the United States Air Force. While in the Air Force, I had the opportunity to work in and learn about all specialties in dentistry.

It was through the Air Force that I had the opportunity to attend a specialty training program in Periodontics at the University of Maryland Dental School. In 1990 I completed a Certificate in Periodontics and then, in 1992, a Master of Science in Oral Biology.

I was assigned to Dover Air Force Base in 1990 and served there until 1994, when I separated from the Air Force with an honorable discharge.
